Levanto is a town of about 5,650 inhabitants situated in the province of La Spezia. At the end of the Cinque Terre, Levanto is a popular beach resort.
The origins of the village are very old and some scholars date back to the period of Roman domination.

Bonassola is a town of about 1,000 inhabitants, in a pretty bay enclosed by a circle hillside of pine trees and typical terraces olive trees and vineyards, which adjoins Levanto.
